We have compiled a list of the most commonly asked questions regarding the Seaclear window defogger. If you still have any questions, please feel free to contact our sales staff to answer any further questions.
How long will the film last ? The Seaclear defogger was introduced to the market in 1991. There are many of these original
units still in operation. By following a simple yearly routine maintenace the defoggers will see service life upwards
of 20 years.
Will the film scratch or yellow with age? Seaclear defogger's are manufactured with the finest materials available. The
film has been coated with a clear hardcoat to prevent scratching from the installation and everyday cleaning. In addition, UV
inhibitors have been used to prevent the film from yellowing.
Can I install the defogger myself? Seaclear designed the defogger to be installed by almost anyone. Installation is very
simple and takes approximately 15 minutes.
What do I need to install the defogger? Other than glass cleaner and paper towels everything needed to install
is included with the defogger.
Can I take the defogger off and move it to another window? No, once the defogger has been installed it cannot
be taken off for later use.
Can I cut the defogger to fit a window? While the lenght can be cut, we don't recommend doing so. If it is
absolutley necessary, contact us for instructions. The width cannot be cut in any way.
